Vernon Adrian Emuang has fourteen years of working and professional experience in various communications-oriented positions in Malaysia, Australia and Singapore, especially in the areas of advertising, public relations, publishing and broadcasting

He is an accomplished writer, advertising creative director, award-winning copywriter, trainer/academic (Institut ACT, Institute Ilham), broadcast-producer and presenter (radio and television), and critically-acclaimed theatre practitioner (Australia, Malaysia, Singapore) and performer (stage, screen, radio, television, film).  In recent years, he has been recognised as an IT-populist, from presenting a weekly show on Malaysian television.

Vernon has held executive and senior management posts with local and multinational agencies, and is much sought after as a marketing communications specialist for both local and international brands in local and regional markets.

As a writer, he has been commissioned to produce editorials and articles, and helm feature-supplements for magazines in Malaysia and Singapore.  He was editor of ArtPeritif, an art and graphics magazine from 1985 - 1989.  Vernon consults for several public relations agencies, providing speech and writing services, as well as creative concept generation for events management

In advertising, he was the youngest copywriter ever to win the 6As Grand Prix for Best Print Advertising.  He was also the youngest ever Malaysian ever appointed to the position of Creative Director in a multinational advertising agency, a position he held for 5 years.  Vernon's work in advertising has ranged from highly effective tactical advertising to award-winning thematic advertising, some of which are still running in various platforms in Malaysia's mass media.  He is also available for creative directorial and copywriting consultancy

Vernon holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) degree from Australia, with a major in theatre. He has conceived revues and played lead roles in a number of significant stage productions in both Malaysia and Singapore.

Apart from acting and doing voice-overs for numerous radio productions, Vernon holds the dubious distinction of having written and presented Malaysia's first ever (and possibly only) multi-station English weekly show on Malaysian national radio from 1991 to 1994.  He hopes to revive Celcom On The Air in the near future. Since the show first broke in 1996,  he has helped style and present currently one of Malaysia's most popular weekly shows on national television.  TV3's CyberWave is expected to move into its sixth season in August 1998, a phenomenal achievement of survival.  Vernon's talent and skills in programme concept formulation, styling and presentation is also available for commission.

Due to an extensive background in communications in all its various forms, Vernon brings an exciting approach to communications, which often incorporates strategic collaborative platforms across various media.  The results often push entertainment, or the promotion of products and services, into impactful new paradigms and revolutionary breakthrough solutions

Vernon is Malaysian by nationality where he now resides and runs a consultancy, was educated in Malaysia and Australia, and has lived and worked in Australia and Singapore.
